Account linkage
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
To effectively provide holistic financial advice, It was important to acknowledge that users are likely to have their assets parked in existing accounts already. Whether the accounts were with TIAA or not, we wanted to allow the users the ability to attach those accounts to any online advice session.
Taking into account the complexity of the edge case and simplicity of the majority case, I designed an intuitive experience that could service the needs of an extreme user with several types of accounts or the average user with 1.5 accounts (calculated from existing data analytics).

REFLECTION
Users are responding very positively to the new design. After the new account linkage experience was launched, we saw a 7% increase in the completion rate (completion rate was calculated based on users who started the application and made it to the first step of account opening).
